She was born April 25, 1913, at Keswick, Iowa, to David and Dolly (Thomas) Rigel.
On Sept. 28, 1931 she was married to Edward Jacoby.
She came to Colorado in 1929 with her sister and her husband, Mr. And Mrs. Frank Sauter, and made her home with them until her marriage.
After her marriage, she and her husband lived and farmed north of Milliken until 1949 when they moved north of Bennett.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Hope Chapter, in Bennett and the Presbyterian Church there.
Survivors are her husband Edward; two sons, Edward Jr. of Bennett and John of Commerce City; two daughters, Mrs. Don (Ramona) Steffens of Aurora and Mrs. Jim (Betty) Parcaut of Lakewood, three brothers, David Rigel of Wichita, Kan., George Rigel of Albuquerque, N.M., and Jim Rigel of Arkansas; a sister Mrs. Bill (Alvina) Turner of Renton, Wash.; a nieces Mrs. Harry (Ann) Jacoby of La Salle; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Three sisters are deceased.
