Charles Michael "Mike" Boyle age 71 of Duluth formerly of Greensburg PA, passed away on June 10, 2022, following a long illness.

Mike was born on March 17, 1951 at St. Luke's Hospital Duluth to parents Thomas Neil Boyle and Marion Elaine Boyle. He graduated from Denfeld High School Class of 1969 and attended UMD, The University of Pittsburg-Greensburg and Indiana University majoring in Business Management, Psychology and Music. A lifelong Musician, he was a band member in Sound Inc. and the Navy Band in Chicago for a time. Mike served honorably in the US Navy from 1972-1976 on the USS Harold E. Holt. Upon his discharge he returned to Duluth to work for a Cable TV Co. which brought him to many states finally settling in PA where he met his wife of 34 years. He spent the majority of his working life at Westmoreland Mechanical Testing and Research Laboratories in Youngstown PA.as a Quality Assurance Analyst. Mike was a gifted conversationalist, enjoyed traveling the world, had an admirable library, writing short stories and letters, loved art, the WWW and photography.

He rescued many cats and cared for and loved them all. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend with the best sense of humor. He will be forever loved and missed by his family and close friends. Charles Michael is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts' uncle, and cousins.

He is survived by his sister Patty (Todd) Pederson, his niece Dana (Joe) Benson, nephews Joey, Nick, Chris, Jake, and Jordan Pederson. Aunt and Uncle Charlotte (Toivo) Rysman, cousins Lynn (Kevin) Welch and family and Jill Rysman. Other cousins, family, and friends. Also, by his former wife Paula, his family and friends in PA. and his cats he cared for so much. Memorials to Animal Allies.

Visitation will be held on Thursday June 23, 2022, from 10AM until the 11AM Memorial Service in Williams-Lobermeier-Boettcher Funeral Home. 3208 W. 3rd St. Duluth, MN 55806. 218-624-1059. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Duluth.
