John Richard Adamson, 78, of Perryton, Texas, died Thursday, April 13, 2017 in Ennis, Texas. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2017 in Perryton at Boxwell Brothers Chapel, with Pastor Tim Ramsey officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton, Texas.
Mr. Adamson was born on February 7, 1939 in Texline, Texas to James Adamson and Willie Ainsworth. He was a lifetime resident of the area, and he married his wife, Wanda Louise Fricks Adamson on August 12, 1960 in Clarendon, Texas. He was a member of Community Worship Center in Perryton, and he worked in the oilfield.
Mr. Adamson is survived by his wife, Wanda of Perryton, Texas; one daughter, Debbie Gibson and husband Milton of Ennis, Texas; one son, John Adamson and wife Staci of Lubbock, Texas; two granddaughters, Calli Adamson and Riley Adamson, both of Lubbock, Texas; and one sister, Donna Coates of Granberry, Texas.

Mr. Adamson was preceded in death by his parents.
