James Dennis Bartoldo "Dennis" age 79 of Lincoln passed away on May 3, 2022
Dennis was born in San Jose, CA to the late Jimmie (James) Bartoldo and Fern Bartoldo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Georgia Ann Decker.
Dennis joined the Marines after high school and served from 1962-1965 and served one tour in Viet Nam. He moved to Lincoln, CA in 1972 and served as a Placer County Deputy Sheriff from 1975 - 1995. He was also a member of the Sheriff's Pistol shooting team and then in 1999 Dennis built his own shooting range for the team and provided classes for CCW and the Placer Pistol Club. He and his wife ran the Little League Baseball as president and coach as well as the snack bar for several years. Dennis was an avid amateur Radio (Ham) operator and enjoyed volunteering and working communications for Breath Ca. and several other events. Dennis loved to travel the world and after his wife passed, he continued with his companion Alice.
He is survived by his companion, his stepchildren, his brother and 9 grandchildren.
Burial will be at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA at a later date.
