Confederate Civil War Veteran."Captain" 2nd Regiment GA Cavalry, Co. E; severe head wound (shot) @ Murfreesboro, TN while leading the charge against jail defended by the Federal Troops (July 1862). He was "furloughed" home permanently for the rest of the war. He later owned & operated a hotel at Griffin, Spalding Co. as well as at Atlanta, GA prior to his death in 1915.
