Joseph Edward Fay Sr, 85, passed away Sunday, January 5th, 2020 comfortably at the Pat Roche Hospice House in Hingham after a short illness. Born in Stoughton, he was raised and educated in the Stoughton Public Schools and was a graduate of Coyle Cassidy High School (Class of '51) He attended St John's Seminary (Class of '59) and became an ordained Catholic priest. After six years he decided to leave the priesthood. It was at that time that he met the love of his life the late Victoria A. Fay (Galluzzo). They were long time residents of Braintree, MA, where they raised their two children, the late Carlene Fay (Weymouth) and Joseph E. Fay Jr. of Braintree. He enjoyed landscaping his yard, was an avid reader of history, spending time on Cape Cod, traveling and riding his motorcycle all over the United States with his wife Vicki. He was the son of the late Charles and Mary Fay of Stoughton, brother of Mary Frances Fay of NH, Michelle M. Ruggierio of N. Dartmouth and the late Charles Fay, James Fay, Robert Fay, and Annice Rich (Fay). He is also survived by daughter-in-law and grandchildren.
