Charles Richard Alkire, Macomb, passed from this life on May 27th, 2022 in Oklahoma City after an extended illness.

He was born on February 16th, 1935 to Lewis and Edith Patten Alkire in Macomb, one of six children: Fay, Vernon, Lou Alice, Kathleen and Harley. He grew up in Macomb, attended Macomb schools, and lived in the Macomb area most of his life.

He was married to Louise "Lou" Scott in 1952 in Macomb a marriage that lasted over 40 years. They had one child, a son, Richard. Charles was later married to Marilyn, who preceded him in death. Charles was a good worker and had a number of jobs in Oklahoma and California, settling on long-distance truck driving for years until his retirement. When he wasn't on the road, he helped Lou in running the dairy farm they established together.

He had natural musical ability, and, as a hobby, played the guitar. He and Lou played their guitars together for years.
