Jerry Lynn Canter, age 79, passed away on June 17, 2022 at Cotton Point Living Center in Matthews, MO.
He was born on January 7, 1943 in Cuba, KY. to the late John Merritt and Dora Myrtle Holt Canter.

On January 5, 1980 in Morehouse, MO. he married Judy Brothers Canter who survives in the home in Diehlstadt, MO.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Ray (Christy) Haney of Sikeston, MO. and Andrew Shane Canter of Farmington, MO.; one daughter, Donna Rena Zickefoose of Roanoke, AL.; one sister, Sandra Byrd of Wingo, KY. and one grandchild Nathan (Kari) Haney.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Lynn Canter Jr.; four brothers and one sister.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. at 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Dwayne Kirkpatrick, pastor at Diehlstadt General Baptist Church in Diehlstadt, MO., officiating.

Burial will follow in the Maynard Cemetery in Diehlstadt, MO.

Pallbearers will be Don Gage, Mike Britton, Ronnie Pullen, Ronnie Phillips, David Slayden and Mike Sellers.
