William Leopold Guidici, former resident of Quincy and native of Plumas County, died at his home in Watsonville, on Thursday, October 7.

Guidici was the eldest of the children born to Leopold and Carmelina Guidici, Plumas County Pioneers. He was born December 14, 1890, on the ranch in Clover Valley, where his parents settled upon their arrival from Switzerland in 1888.

Later the Guidici Family acquired the ranch at Quincy now owned by Charles Bedell. It was on the Quincy ranch that William Guidici spent most of his adult life until selling it to Bedell and moving to Santa Cruz in 1946 with his wife, Medda, whom he married in 1937. About a year later he purchased a small acerage at Watsonville. He lived there until his retirement in October, 1964, when he and Mrs. Guidici sold their land and moved to an apartment in Watsonville, his residence at the time of his death.

A rosary was recited at White's Funeral Chapel on October 8, and a Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on October 9, with the Rev. Walter Goff officiating. Burial was In Pajaro Valley Memorial Park at Watsonville.

Guidici was preceded in death by one sister, Miss Lena Guidici. In addtion to his wife, Medda, he is survived by two brothers, Dan and James of Greenville; five sisters, Mrs. Emma Anthony of Oakland, Mrs. Ottilia Dotta of Lincoln, Mrs. Sylvia Kallis of Vallejo, all of whom attended the funeral rites, Mrs. Ida Hiller of Chico and Mrs. Josephine Ramelli of Quincy.
