She attended Robinson Female Seminary and studied nursing. She served an internship with the Chelsea Naval Hospital in 1929.
She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses of Exeter/Kensington and more recently of Portsmouth.
Mrs. Fieldsend enjoyed photography and had a home studio for developing and enlarging her photographs. A talented dress maker, her hobbies included sewing and using personal computers.
The widow of Forrest J. Fieldsend Sr., who died in 1981, she is survived by two daughters, one son, one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
