Elias M. Conklin, well known member of many lodges in the village passed away last evening about 6:05 o'clock at his home, following an illness about 7 months.
Mr. Conklin had been seriously ill for the past two weeks, confined to his bed. He was in his 66th year. He was the son of George and Louise McLean Conklin.
He had been a member of the First M. E. Church since childhood and for many years was communion warden at the church.
He was affiliated with many organizations and was a charter member of Bald Eagle Tribe No. 264, I.O.R.M., also a member of the Cryptic Lodge of Odd Fellows, Shepherds of Bethlehem, Courtlandt Lodge of Masons, Mt. Arrarat Encampment, Rebekah Lodge and Mason's Local No. 55.
He followed the mason trade all his life.
Surviving him are his widow, Bertha Garrison Conklin; one daughter Elizabeth; two sisters, Mrs. J. Seymour of Peekskill and Mrs. William Sager of Newburgh and one brother, Winfield Conklin of New York City.
Funeral services will be held from his late residence, 95 Orchard Street on Saturday, January 12th, at 2:30 P. M. Interment will be made at Hillside Cemetery.
