With the adventure of boyhood, Gaylord had gone after school to play at the river. No one knows what ill fate befell him in the water, but he had been alone only a little while when his body was found and efforts to revive him failed.
He is survived by his father and mother; two brothers, Clyde and Lawrence, of the home; five sisters, Vera, Phylis, Nina and Fern of the home and Mrs. Jack Pulley, of Pueblo, Colorado' one brother-in-law, Mr. Jack Pulley; a tiny niece. Betty Louise Pulley; several aunts and uncles; a number of cousins and many loyal friends and neighbors.
