Abbie died at her home of heart disease aged 52 Years and 25 days. She had been suffering various ailments for a long time, though previous to that she had enjoyed remarkably good health, and was rather fleshy. She was well known and had lived here with Delos for the past 17 years, coming from Wisconsin. The funeral was preached in the Presbyterian Church, 25 January by Rev. Wright. She was buried at the south edge of Cherokee cemetery near the middle of south border. A large gray stone marks their graves.. From the Cherokee Sentinel 27 Jan 1888.
