Saundra Marie Hardie
Saundra Marie Ciampa Hardie died peacefully Thursday, September 30, 2021 after suffering from a second massive stroke. She passed away in hospice care, at St. Anthony's Central Hospital, where her daughter, son-in-law and close friends lovingly attended to her during her remaining days. She was 75 years old.
Saundra had a number of personal achievements, but the one she would consider her most important was her family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, niece, cousin and a friend to many others.
On July 22, 1946, Saundra was born in Everett, Massachusetts, to Samuel and Amy (Muller) Ciampa. Saundra was the first of their two children. Her sister, Judy, followed 18 months later. She was the joy of her two Uncles, Gene and Leo Muller. They waited up and sat on the stairs to the second floor anticipating her arrival. Her Uncle Gene, who was her godfather, used to take her to the bar in Eagle, Idaho, where he would sit her on the counter with an ice cream cone, while he would have a beer. Sam and Amy left Everett and settled in Boise, Idaho, not far from the Muller farm. It was where she spent a good part of her younger life. As she was the first grandchild, all lavished her with a lot of love.
Throughout Saundra's life, she worked a variety of occupations. She graduated from Central Valley High School in Northern California, went on to beauty school and graduated from Merced Beauty College. She started her profession career at Dot's Beauty Box in Gustine, California. She continued her career in Santa Maria and San Mateo. Moving to Aurora, Colorado shortly after she married, she became a full-time homemaker. Then later after divorcing, she then went on to work in the motel industry and the school system, as a baker and secretary at the administration building. After retiring from the Adams 12 School District, she went to work for Allegro coffee company. Not to mention, she volunteered a great deal of her time to Sunny Acres retirement center for many, many years. She loved being with the residents and also volunteered in their gift shop.
Saundra was blessed with her daughter, Samantha. Samantha married Chris Carter and blessed her mom with "the light of her life," her grandson Ayden. She would spend hours having tea parties, making cookies, decorating them, and reading to him. He was her playmate. He made her "world go around!"

Saundra never knew a stranger— only "a friend she hadn't yet met." She had a way with people and deeply touched the lives of everyone she met through her giving spirit and her ready giggle. She will be deeply missed by all.
Saundra is survived by her daughter, Samantha and son-in-law, Chris Carter, her beloved grandson, Ayden, her sister, Judy Meredith (Bob) of Modesto, CA, her nephews Bobby and Sam Meredith (Marie) and many grand nieces and grand nephews. She will be buried with her beloved Uncle Gene Muller in Star Cemetery in Star, Idaho.
