James R. Ansell Jr., 46, of Manson, died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at his home.

He was born Jan. 9, 1955 in Chelan the son of James R. and Eulalia (Meinzer) Ansell. He lived in Brewster and Alaska before moving to Manson in 1983.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1974 until his discharge in 1978. He was most recently employed as a vinyl, tile and carpet installer.

Survivors include a son, James R. Ansell III of Manson; three daughters, Jennifer Ansell and Rebecca Ansell, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Eulalia Ansell of Manson; his mother and stepfather, Eulalia and Henry Jensen of Chelan Falls; four brothers, Loyd Stafford of Seattle, Ron Stafford of Tonasket, Ralph Stafford of Lacey and Tom Ansell of Kent; and a sister, Darlene Sink of Manson.

He was preceded in death by his father, James R. Ansell, and a brother, Ken Stafford.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Precht Rose Chapel. There will be private interment and no visitation.

Arrangements are by Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
