Funeral services for James Robert Ansell, 35, who drowned last Sunday are being held at 3:30 this afternoon from the Rose Chapel of the Smith Funeral Home.
Ansell's death took place when he apparently suffered cramps while swimming in a lake near Bridgeport. His wife was a witness to the tragedy which took place at about 6:15 pm. Volunteers were able to recover the body at 1:15 Monday morning.
Mr. Ansell was born Sep. 21. 1921 at Dickerson Run, Penn., where he spent his early life. He came to Chelan Falls in 1941. He was married to Eulalia Meinzer at Chelan, Dec. 30, 1953.
He is survived by his wife and two sons, James R. and Thomas E. of Chelan Falls; three brothers and two sisters.
Officiating at funeral services is the Rev. J. J. Ellington. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery with the Smith Funeral Home in charge.
