Mrs. Carolyn Powell, 79, of Houma, La., formerly of Andalusia, died Sun., Jan. 20, 2008.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thurs., Jan. 24, at Keahey Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. The family will recive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Keahey Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Powell, of Houma; her son, David Ray Powell of Houma; her daughter, Lillie (Scott) Salsberry, of Baton Rauge, La.; her sister, Myrtle Welch of Andalusia; her sisters-in-law, Ruby Southwell, Cora Lee Oswald and Louise Bowman of Andalusia; a brother-in-law, Jack M. Powell of Eufaula; and three grandchildren, Christopher Authement, Abigail Salsberry and John Salsberry.
