Lorraine Hebert Neuroth was born November 30, 1931 in Sioux City, IA the daughter of Leo and Lillie (Monette) Hebert. Her baptism was at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Elk Point and 1st Communion and Confirmation at St. Joseph's Church in Jefferson. She attended country schools in the Elk Point, SD area. In 1942 the family bought a farm southwest of Alcester, South Dakota. She attended country school and later graduated as Co-valedictorian from Alcester High School in 1949. In January of 1950 she became a secretary at the First National Bank in Beresford.

Lorraine and Leo Neuroth were married July 7, 1953 in Santa Ana, CA where Leo was stationed in the Marine Corps and she worked as a nurse aide at Santa Ana Community Hospital. They returned to Beresford in September of 1954, where she kept busy raising her family. Lorraine was also a den mother for Cub Scouts, a CCD teacher at St. Teresa Catholic Church, and helping her family as greens keeper at the Beresford golf course. Lorraine worked for the Carlson family grocery stores in Beresford for 12 years and later worked as a housekeeper during the summer months at Super 8 and Crossroads motels.

Since 1994, Lorraine and Leo had the privilege of spending their winters at Silveridge Resort in Mesa, AZ where they were caretakers for the miniature golf course. Summers were spent enjoying time with their South Dakota families. Her hobbies are crocheting hanger covers to give as gifts and compiling a story of both her and Leo's family genealogy. Lorraine also really enjoyed being involved in the annual talent show gala while they were at Silveridge and enjoyed going rummaging once a week with a group of friends from the park.
