Kenneth E. Carmichael Sr, 81, of Logansport, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Kenny was born on July 4, 1939 in Cook, Indiana, and is the son to the late Harley and Hazel (Anderson) Carmichael. He was number thirteen of a family of 15 children. He grew up in a family known for their fun, food, laughter, and music. There was always music throughout his life whether he was in a band or playing and singing at home with the family.

On May 24, 1959 in Logansport, he married Patsy S. Friend who preceded in death July 15, 2009. Kenny had met the love of his life on a blind date. They were blessed with five children and enjoyed 50 years together before her passing.

Kenny worked in production for Carter Block.

Surviving is a daughter, Beth (Randy) Weaver of Logansport, IN; four sons, Kenneth E. (Becky) Carmichael Jr. of Logansport, IN, Timothy Carmichael of Logansport, IN, Russell (Jennifer Hughes) Carmichael of Logansport, IN; Kevin (Jody) Carmichael of Murfreesboro, TN; three brothers, William Carmichael of Avilla, IN; John Carmichael of Fort Wayne, IN; Phillip (Lila) Carmicheal of Logansport, IN; four sisters, Alice Marks of Kouts, IN; Mary Akers of Schererville, IN; Kathryn Neill of Clearwater, FL; Sharon Garringer of Fort Wayne, IN; 9 grandchildren, Kerry (James) Stevens, Megan (Mike) Begley, Callie Weaver, Tia (David) Jameson, Abbie (Blake) Daily, Alix (Nick) Tribbett, Jessica (Mason Tompkins) Carmichael, Brandt Carmichael, Bryce (Laci) Weaver and 14 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Timothy Carmichael and Andrew Carmichael, three sisters, Shirley Tipton, Ruby Frederick, Joanne Potter, four brothers, Jack Carmichael, Donald Carmicheal, Norman Carmichael, and Harley Gene Carmichael.

A private funeral service for the family will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 11, 2021, it will be streamed for friends of Kenny on the Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory website (www.gundrumcares.com). Please look for the "Live Funeral Services" tab and click on "todays service". Pastor Joel Flowers will be officiating.

Friends are welcome to join for the graveside committal service at Pisgah Cemetery, the funeral procession should arrive approximately at 3:00 PM.
