Audrey held a long career as a Credit Manager at Oil States Industries before retiring. She and her husband David had a storybook marriage for many years, and they enjoyed boating, dancing, taking cruises, casinos, and traveling. They were members of the Methodist Church. Early on she wrote poetry and songs and will be remembered for her singing and her heartfelt laughter.
Audrey is survived by her loving husband, C. David Reckman; her son Roger (Becky) Smith, daughter Susan Smith, three stepchildren: Connie (Howard) Sprenger, Kathy (Mark) VanWinkle, and Lynn Reckman; daughter-in-law: LouAnn Smith, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister Evelyn Gould, and sisters-in-law Elizabeth 'Tootie' Harshbarger and Luanna Harshbarger. She was preceded in death by her son Charles 'Chuck' Smith, eight brothers and sisters. She was previously married to Charles "Pal" Smith.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Friday, July 8, 2022, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Vince Rohn officiating.
