Richard Goulding Marriott, 82, of 814 NW 31, retired attorney and accountant, died Saturday in his home. He had been ill several years with a heart ailment. Services are pending and will be announced by Watts Funeral Home. A native of Birmingham, England, Marriott came to the United States as a boy. He was reared in Chicago, Ill., and earned his law degree there.

He practiced law in Chicago several years before coming to Oklahoma City in 1918. He was employed as an accountant for the highway department for several years and was connected to several Oklahoma insurance companies as an accountant. He retired several years ago. He was a member of St John's Episcipol Church. He is survived by his wife, Sidney and a daughter, Alice, both of the home; two sons, William Marriott of Los Angeles and Major Richard G. Marriott of Fort Sill; and four grandchildren.
