Verna May Banning daughter of Ralph and Zora Banning, was born October 29, 1919 and died of influenza March 18, 1920. She leaves to mourn their loss, her father, mother and one brother, Beryl, her grandfather and grandmother Wren and grandmother Banning, together with numerous relatives.
Funeral services were held in the Round Mound cemetery on Friday, March 19th, at 3:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. H. J. Hassard, pastor of the Cedar Vale Baptist church. The father and mother were both confined to bed with the influenza and were unable to attend the obsequies.
