Mr. Barry Russell Delong, age 62, of Spencer, TN passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was a Van Buren County, TN native born December 30, 1959 to the late Wilburn and Pauline Bishop Delong. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Wilburn, Jr., (Phyllis Delong); and brother-in-law, Willie Pierce.
Mr. Delong worked at A.O. Smith for over 30 years as a painter and was a 1977 graduate of Van Buren High School and was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving is his loving wife of 25 years, Reba Simmons Delong; sons, Barry Russell Delong, Jr., Christopher (Nola) Green, Austin Tyler (Caitlyn) Delong; daughters, Jennifer Nicole Delong, Kendra (Adam) LaFerniere, Cassandra (Mike Johnson) Green, and Ashley Delong; brothers, Ricky Delong and Randall Paul Delong; sisters, Nelda Pierce and Karla Lee; grandchildren, Dakota, Mathew, Devin, Morgan, Dustin, Zachary, Isabella, Nova, Alli Rose, J.C. and Noah; in - laws, John and Wanda Simmons; mothers of his children, Judy Carol Patrick and Melissa Siebers; many nieces, nephews, and extended family also survive.

Funeral services will be held July 3, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Layne Funeral Home in Spencer, TN with Bro. Wayne Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow at Spencer Town Cemetery. Visitation was held Saturday, July 2, 2022 and will be held again Sunday, July 3, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. till time of service at 3:00 p.m.
