Daughter of Buford Garner and Ruby Belle Nave. She grew up on a farm, being the eldest of two brothers and two sisters. She married Orval Wayne Fletcher on Sept. 9, 1948 in Grand Junction, CO. They were sealed in the Provo Temple on July 20, 1993. She raised her children alone after the untimely passing of her husband in 1963. She worked at the Grand Junction Regional Center as a psychiatric technician until she retired, and moved from Colorado to Deseret, UT. She enjoyed genealogy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; sons, Gerry Lynn and James Lee; brothers, James and Jack, and sister, Betty Lou. Surviving are her son, Allen Wayne Fletcher and his wife, Louise, Denver, CO, and daughter, Carol Sue Fletcher, Deseret, UT; granddaughter, Linda Sue; and sister Shirley Mae, Colorado.
