Born in Chester, to Rev. Hampton Evans and Joan A. Gerst. Lynette attended Chester Public School District. She graduated from Chester High School in 1980. After graduation she was employed by the Government in Washington, D.C. in the finger printing department. As a young child she attended First Pentecostal. Lynette has one son, Saleem Butler, and one daughter, Lynnelle Denise Evans Butler. Lynette was employed by the Delaware County Prison. After leaving the prison she was employed as a care taker and also worked for Allied Security as head of the security department. Lynette was predecessor by her brother, Hampton Evans Jr. Lynette leaves to cherish her memory: her father Hampton Evans Sr; mother Joan Gerst; one son Salem Butler; one daughter Denise Evans Butler; four grandchildren; two brothers Anthony Lewis Evans (Karen); and Cory Harris (Ezinne); one God daughter Daysha Ashanti Wilson; three Aunts Jeanette Blackwell, Judith Roberson and Doris Grimes ( Al); one uncle Ronald Blackwell (Maria); and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, great great niece, great great nephews, cousins, friends and the father of her children Alvin Butler.
