Anson H. Bliss died at the home of his son, Grant Bliss, three miels south of Alton, Kansas, April 2, 1898.
He was born at Phelps, Ontario county, New York, April 5, 1818.
He was the father of C. E. Bliss, of Penn township.

He married Jane Ellis on Aug. 6, 1840 in IL. These known children were born from this union, Julia Elizabeth, Judah Elizabeth, Nathaniel Thomas, William Henry, Sarah Jane, Frances Ellen, Joseph Ellis, Chauncey Edward and Millicent Bliss.
