Elizabeth Ann Howe Clancy passed from her earthly life into the waiting arms of Jesus, early morning July 4, 2022. She was born on September 8, 1937, to Myrtle and Bill Howe in Norman Oklahoma, where she lived for most of her life.

She grew up as a member of First Baptist Church with her parents, where she was baptized at age 11 by Preacher Hallock. She attended the University of Oklahoma for 2 years and worked as a typist at the OU Duplicating Service.

Elizabeth was married to Erin Clancy at First Baptist Church Norman, by Preacher Hallock in 1963. They moved to Midwest City for 2 years which is the only time she lived outside of Norman. When they returned to Norman to live their remaining years, she returned to work at the OU Duplicating Service, until the joy of her life entered the world, their daughter Susan.

Elizabeth remained active at First Baptist and helped her mother work in the nursery and 5-year-old department for many years. Her Bible study class was her special place to bond with friends.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband Erin Clancy, parents Myrtle and Bill Howe, brother William Howe, sister-in-law Norma Jean Howe.

She is survived by daughter Susan Clancy of Washington State; her nephews and their families Greg and Marilyn Howe from Cedarville, OH; Doug Howe of Collinsville, IL; Brad and Beth Howe, Rosta, Italy. Great nieces and nephews Zachary Howe; Abigail and her husband Hayden Borondy; Jessica and her husband Gabriel Grimstad; David and his wife Giorgia. Great- great niece Nala.

The family would like to express appreciation to Roy Joe and Lydia Ham who were her faithful guardians in these last years, Angela Atkins for her loving care, Kristen Karr and Preston Hudson with Waters Edge Foundation, the staff at both Arbor House Assisted Living and Grace Care Center of Norman as well as the staff at Good Shepherd Hospice.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to First Baptist Church, Norman OK.
