Henry "Pat" Elmer Fincher, son of LoRay and Bertha F. Johnson Fincher, was born July 8, 1928, near Grovespring, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, January 17, 2004, in his home, near Grovespring, Missouri at the age of seventy-five years, six months, and nine days.

His parents preceded him in death.

Pat is survived by four sons, Richard Lee Fincher, and his wife, Marcia, of the State of Vermont, Larry Fincher, of Columbia, Missouri, Gary Fincher, of Crocker, Missouri, and Patrick Fincher, of Richland, Missouri; a step-daughter, Rhonda Ethridge, of Crocker, Missouri; six grandchildren, Tiffany, Richard, Lillie and Josh Fincher, and Chris and Dave Ethridge; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Lenny Fincher, and his wife, Lisa, of Hickory, North Carolina; a sister, Velma Nelson, of Grovespring, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

He was born and raised in the Grovespring community. He then made his home in Kansas City for a few years before returning to the Lebanon area. Throughout the years, Pat worked as truck driver for several major transport companies in Iowa and Missouri. In 1985, he retired and moved back to the Grovespring community, to the rural life he loved; assisting at Starnes Dairy and frequenting the Coffee Shop at Grovespring.

He was a member of the Teamsters Union and also enjoyed repairing lawn mowers and fishing in his spare time.

Pat was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and cherish the memories he created for us.

Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 21, 2004, in the Holman-Howe Chapel. Burial will be in the McBride Cemetery, near Competition, Missouri. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 7 - 8:30 under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
