Child of John JONES. Reported age at time of death was 3 years, so if accurate, evidently born about 1883.

Burial record in the sexton's ledger book shows: a child of John JONES was born in Georgia, died aged 3 years of unknown cause, and was buried 08 MAR 1887 in Section C, Lot 877, as a resident of Columbus, Georgia (so probably died there). The sexton was Abraham ODOM.

This grave is evidently not identifiably marked. On 15 MAR 1887, John W. JONES paid $25 (resident rate) for Lot 227 in Section C. Also reported to be in C-877 are: A. E. ALLEN, buried 04 NOV 1887 (aged 35 years); John W. JONES, buried 15 MAY 1892 (aged 50 years); and Benjamin Hill ALLEN (22 FEB 1857--26 MAY 1899), marked. This marked grave is in Lot 227 of Section J in Dolores Autry's "Historic Linwood Cemetery" book (edited by Lea Dowd et al.), Volume 3. Autry also reports here two adult-sized brick ledgers and a child-sized brick ledger, none of which have any identifying markings.
