Mr. Billy Joe Franks, age 75 of Winfield, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at his son's residence. Mr. Franks was born on November 15, 1938 in Marion Co. a son of Dave and Esther Garrison Franks; resident of Winfield most of his life; retired from Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. with over 50 years of service; and he was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann Robison Franks; and one sister, Sarah Beth Coleman.
Survivors include two sons, Keith Franks of Coker and Darrell Franks and his wife, Amy of Winfield; five grandchildren, Adam Franks, Felicia Haley and her husband, Dustin, Chelsea Johnson and her husband, Matt, Laken and Brady Franks; six great-grandchildren, Nathan, Jett, Piper and Cole Franks, Maddox Johnson and Bryce Haley; one brother, Mike Franks of Hamilton; four aunts, Linda Birmingham, Sue Garrison, Chloe Dearen and her husband, Hershel and Betty Hunsinger and her husband Earl; and other relatives.
Funeral Services where held Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 6:00 PM from the McGraw Memorial Chapel of Miles Funeral Home. C. W. Box and Tim Meherg will be the ministers. Burial will follow in Winfield City Cemetery. Miles Funeral Home of Winfield directing.
