ORAN YOUTH, HURT IN AUTO ACCIDENT FOUR WEEKS AGO SUCCUMBS
Relatives were notified this fornoon of the death of Leon Martin Brucker, 18 years old, at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis of injuries sustained in an automobile accident four weeks ago on Highway 55.
Young Brucker's left arm was amputated at Geneal Hospital at Sikeston after the limb was badly mangled when his car and a truck sideswiped July 25.
The youth was born on November 25, 1929, and attended the Bryean school west of here. He was a member of the Guardian Angel Catholic Church and had until injured been employed on a farm near here.
Surviving are his father, Ferdinand Brucker of near Oran; five sisters, Miss Hannah Brucker and Mrs. Anna Marie Moore of St. Louis, Mrs. Clara Anderson and Mrs. Sybilla Buell of near Oran and Miss Elvira Brucker at home, and two brothers Nick George Brucker and Zeno Brucker, both at home.
An inquest is to be held in St. Louis at 9 o'clock Friday morning. The body will be returned to the Earl J. Smith Funeral Home here for services at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. (Old Guardian Angel Cemetery)
