Beverly was born on January 14, 1930 to Leon and Clara Lukaszewski. Her siblings include two brothers Leon Sr., and Lawrence, and three sisters Charlotte, Patricia and Darlene. Beverly graduated from St. David high school in 1948. Her father was a skilled pharmacist and his passion inspired Beverly to follow in her father's footsteps. She graduated from the Detroit Institute of Technology with a degree in medicine in 1954. She was one of four women in her graduating class. It was there that she met her husband Daniel Grzywa. The two were married in 1956. They raised four daughters Lori, Dana, Susan, and MaryBeth.
Beverly and Daniel were both skilled pharmacists and ran Trancick's pharmacy in Detroit, MI.
Beverly was a devoted wife, mother, and Grammy. She was so proud of her daughters and grandchildren. She was the most loving grandmother there was. She loved spending time with her grandkids and could always make them laugh and smile. She had a wonderful sense of humor and could even make a sad situation a happy one.
Beverly was truly a selfless and caring person. She would do her best to help anyone in need and found herself devoting countless hours to volunteer programs such as meals on wheels and the Berwyn Senior Center. Beverly was also an outstanding dancer and enjoyed attending senior dances throughout the metro Detroit area several times each week. She also had a love for shopping (especially garage sales) and could never pass up a good sale. Beverly was known for her sense of fashion and was often complimented for the outfits she wore. She was an amazing cook and was known in the community for her pies and baked goods. She also loved working in her flower garden and always made her yard look so beautiful. Her favorite treat was ice cream and couldn't complete her day without having a bowl of chocolate ice cream.
After her husband died, Beverly decided to take a part time job in the gift shop of the Henry Ford museum in Dearborn. She loved meeting people from all over the world that visited the museum. She also worked as a nanny and loved every child she encountered. Beverly's last job was as a sitter for the Oakwood hospital system. In 2013 Beverly received "the high five award" from the hospital for being kind and caring to the patients she served.
Beverly will be truly missed by her family and friends. She was truly one of a kind. I wish their were more people in this world that were as kind and giving as she was. I try my best to be kind to others as she taught me. If there were more people like her in this world it truly would be a better place.

"It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again."
