Mary B. Garlick, age 95, of Blue Earth, formerly of Winnebago died Jan. 14, 2008 at St. Lukes Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth.

Funeral services were held Jan. 17, 2008, at the First Presbyterian Church in Winnebago, with Rev. Michael Roys and Rev. Karl Rydholm officiating. Burial was in Rosehill Cemetery, Winnebago. Spencer-Owen Funeral Home of Winnebago in charge of arrangements.

She was born Nov. 27, 1912, at Windom, the daughter of Ernest and Amelia (Prelipp) Yahnke.

At a young age she moved with her parents to Long Prairie and then to Garden City where she graduated from high school at the age of 16. On May 16, 1939 she married Warren H. Garlick in Vernon Center. They then lived on their farm at Winnebago until his death in 1998.

Mary was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Winnebago where she was active in the Presbyterian Women and sang in the church choir for many years.

She is survived by her daughter: Marcy (Larry) Everett of Blue Earth; sister: Lydia Conrad of Winnebago; sister-in-law: Norma Yahnke of Jackson; brother-in-law: Russell Garlick of Mankato, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and four sisters.
