Barbara Jane McDowell Krafft, 77
Crawfordsville, Ind - Barbara Jane McDowell Krafft, 77, of McCoy Avenue, expired at her daughter's home in Crawfordsville, Ind. on Dec. 9, 2005, after a brief illness. She was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on July 11, 1928, to the late Emily Mills McDowell and Joseph McDowell, Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Dale C. Krafft in April 2005. She is survived by daughters, Della C. Squires of Murrells Inlet, S. C., Barbara J. Bonsall of Omaha, Neb. and Susan E. Smith of Crawfordsville; and sons Wilbur T. Krafft of East Liverpool and Dale C. Krafft, Jr., of Cadiz, Ohio; six grandchildren; and one great - granddaughter. She leaves behind three sisters, Josephine Chambers of Garden City, Mich., Doris Swiger and Peggy Shasteen, both of East Liverpool, and a brother, Thomas McDowell of Panama City, Fla. She was preceded in death by sisters, Judy Camaioni and Betty Pelley and brothers, Sergeant (Bud) McDowell and Major (Bill) McDowell. She enjoyed gardening and crafts and was a member of the Tri - Angle Seniors Club of Calcutta until her illness. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
