He was Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Newark and the Peddie Memorial Church has a window in his memory.
Enoch married on September 30, 1852 at Wiscasset, Maine, Sarah Thomas Austin, daughter of Captain Josiah Austin of Wiscasset and his wife, Sarah Thompson. Sarah Austin was born April 3, 1820 at Wiscasset.
Enoch died August 18, 1877 at Newark where his family lived.
