William "Bill" Lewis Hamlett Sr., 90, of Conover passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Frye Regional Medical Center.
He was born December 4, 1931 in Baltimore County, MD to the late William Granville Hamlett and Annie Mae Turner Hamlett. Bill was a member of Mt. Ruhama Baptist Church in Maiden and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and was given the nickname "tomato man".
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Alma Jean Adkins Hamlett; and son, William Lewis Hamlett, Jr.; son-in-law, William "Bill" Andrew Holt, III.
