It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Allan Elwood Maheral on July 4, 2022 at the age of 77. Al is survived by Donna and their loving children, JoAnne (Greg), Sherry, Shawn (Moyra), and Julie. Cherished Papa of Jessica (Clayton), Markie (Michael), Johnny, Scout, Piper and Jaxson. Proud great-grandfather to Maxwell. Dear brother of Bruce (Rachel), Ken (Sue), Wayne (Patricia) and Connie (Claude). Predeceased by his parents Elwood Maheral and Inez (nee Ostrom) and siblings Glen (Aline) and Shirley (Chris). He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Fondly remembered by all his Elevator Union brothers at IUEC Local 96 and his many dear friends. Special thanks to the staff at Granite Ridge Care Community for their devoted care. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Dementia's Society of Ottawa. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Highland Park Cemetery, 2037 McGee Side Road, Carp.
