Smith Anderson died at the family home, about five miles southwest of Sheridan, Saturday, February 16, 1901, at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 16 days. The funeral was held at the Christian church in Sheridan at 1 o'clock Sunday, being conducted by Elder Jameson. Burial took place in the Sheridan cemetery. Mr, Anderson was born in the state of Ohio in 1818. He had long been a resident of the vicinity and was well liked by all who knew him. He leaves a wife and ten children, among them being Wm. Anderson, who resides on his farm southwest of town.--Sheridan Advance
