This cemetery wasn't founded until after 1906, but this burial date shows 1906. The reason for that, as I understand it is Sarah M. Hendrix was the matriarch of the family, and requested that when they moved, her remains be also moved and re-buried. That may or may not explain why the little tiny Lone Fir Cemetery is not very far away at all from this newer, more pleasant looking and more relatively flat one. She was wife of C.A. Hendrix, and the memorial gardens are named for Charles Hendrix; so perhaps her husband was Charles Abram Hendrix.
