Miss Jennifer Lee Ann "Jenn" Kappes, age 31, Bennington, Indiana, entered this life on November 20, 1976, in Columbus, Indiana the daughter of Francis A. "Frank" Kappes & Sheila M. Price Dickerson, both of whom survive. She resided her early life in Peru, Indiana, and had resided in Switzerland County since seventh grade. She was a 1995, graduate of Switzerland County High School. She enjoyed being a member of the National Honor Society, the Key Club & the Ski Team in school. She was a member of the Switzerland County 4-H program and enjoyed showing animals at the fair. She was a faithful member of the Sorrowful Mother of God Catholic Church in Vevay. She was employed during high school and after high school at Tot R Us Day Care in Vevay. She began working for Grand Victoria Resort & Casino in 1996, as a food and beverage secretary. She enjoyed music, reading, collecting frogs and time with her son. She had been in ill health the past eight years of her life and passed away at her home near Fairview. Jenn died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 5:20 pm at her residence.

Jenn will be lovingly remembered by her father & step mother: Francis A. "Frank" & Debbie Kappes of Bennington, Indiana; her mother: Sheila Price Dickerson of Franklin, Indiana; her son: Trenton Whitham of Bennington, Indiana; her brother: David Kappes of Franklin, Indiana; her step-sister: Casie Hankins & her husband: Billy of Bennington, Indiana; her nieces & nephew: Madison & Timothy; her step-nieces: Rylee & Nora, many aunts, uncles & cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Raymond & Ethel Kappes; Molean & John Wright; Hilbert & Delores Cole.

Funeral Mass was conducted Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 11:00 am, by Rev. John Meyer at Most Sorrowful Mother of God Catholic Church, Vevay, Indiana. Interment followed in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
