In the 1870 census he was living in Sagamon Co., Illinois and still in the 1880 census in Salisbury, Sagamon Co., Illinois living with his son Amos Hoag and his wife Emaline "Emma Hoag. I believe he died sometime after June 1, 1880 after that census was taken.
