She was best known to both television and film viewers for her numerous character roles in such films and television series as "The Phenix City Story" (1955), "Queen of Outer Space" (1958), and "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show." She left her hometown of Minneapolis for the allure of California in her early years and later went into modeling, after a brief stint as a bookkeeper. She made her acting debut in the 1947 film "Fall Guy." Besides "The Phenix City Story" and "Queen of Outer Space," she later appeared in such films as "The Lieutenant Wore Skirts" (1956), "The Pajama Game" (1957), "Girl with an Itch" (1958), and "Five Bold Women" (1960). In 1956, she made her television debut on the series "Highway Patrol." Besides "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show," she went on to appear in such series as "Mr. Lucky," "Bachelor Father," "Surfside 6," "Miami Undercover," and "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet." She left acting in the early 1960s as both acting and modeling roles diminished.
