Bobby Joe Davidson, 66, of Oneida, died August 4, 2001, at Lake City Health Care Center in Lake City. Born in Elgin, October 15, 1934, he was preceded in death by his parents, Dillard and Ruby Martin Davidson; his first wife, Georgie Frogge Davidson; one brother, Charles Lee Davidson; and mother-in-law, Lotena Owens. He was a veteran of the Korean War, and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Davidson; children: Bobby Joe Davidson, Jr. of Oneida, Aaron Donell Davidson of Cookeville, Janet Meyers and husband, Robert, of LaGrange, Ohio, and JoAnn Guffey and husband, Steve, of Helenwood; four grandchildren; one great-grandson, two special aunts, Juanita D. Ellis and Kathleen D Sims; special friends, Harold Goad, Barney Byrge, Sherry Overton, and Alice Byrge; and many other relatives. Funeral service was conducted August 7, 2001, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Oneida with Rev. Lon Chenowith and Rev. Chester Morgan officiating. Music was provided by Bethlehem Baptist Church Choir. Interment followed in HelenwoodCut Cemetery with full miliary honors by American Legion Post 136.
