Ivyl L. Knapp, 71, of Westfield, died January 21, 1976, in a Sioux City hospital of a brief illness.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24 in the Westfield Congregational church. The Rev. Sherman Tidball officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery in Sioux City. A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. January 23 in the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron.

Pallbearers were Donald Banks, Roy Postlewait, Robert Taylor, Floyd Hughes, Arden Banks, and Alfred Nason.

Mr. Knapp was born March 26, 1904, at Westfield and was a lifelong resident of the community. He farmed, and retired in 1968. He served as clerk of Sioux township 26 years. He married Helen Epperson in January of 1931 at Sioux City. She died in 1952. He married Eva Lilly Dec. 28, 1955 at Westfield.

Survivors include the widow; a son Dr. Barry of Sioux City; two daughters, Mrs. Leslie (Lee) Cornwell of Fort Collins, Colo., and Mrs. Ann Armstrong, of Grosse Point, Mich.; and one stepson, Randall Lilly of Sioux City; 11 grand-children; two brothers, Keith of Westfield and Charles of Merrill; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Luce of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Gertha Henry of Fullerton, Calif..
