Funeral Services Held For A. J. Harlow
Funeral services were held Oct. 1 in Orange for A. J. Harlow, former mayor of Orange and well known citizen.
Mr. Harlow died after a long illness.
One of the first mayors in Orange's history, Mr. Harlow was credited with many improvements in the town.
In later years he was a successful business man as the operator of the moving picture house in Orange. He was several times a candidate for the Legislature to represent Madison and Orange counties but was unsuccessful.
A number of years ago he served the Pleasant Grove and Swift Run churches in Greene county as Baptist minister.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Dr. Lewis Harlow of Front Royal, Mr. Wilbur Harlow and a daughter. Miss Sue Harlowe, of Orange.
