Boyd Earl Orndorff, 85, of Stephens City Va., passed away on January 14, 2009 in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Orndorff was born February 26, 1923 in Mt. Olive, Va., the son of Arthur and Nora Orndorff. He was a member of Refuge United Methodist Church. He was employed at Avtex Corp. in Front Royal where he retired in 1985 after 42 years of service. He served as a trustee at Refuge Church and also during WW II he was an observation officer at a post in Mt. Olive. He was married to Imogean Stelzl November 16, 1946 in Stephens City.
Surviving with his wife are two sons Gary Orndorff and his wife Kathy of Inwood, West Virginia and Terry Orndorff and his wife Debbie of Wardensville, West Virginia, and one sister Dorah Stanley of Kentucky, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Jessie and Gorden Orndorff of Strasburg and five sisters Bessie Mauck of Middletown, Ruby McDonald, Salley Weaver, Hazel Hause and Julia Sager, all of Strasburg Va.
A Memorial Service will be held on January 24, 2009 at 2:00 pm. at Refuge United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers a contribution may be made to Refuge Church, 717 Refuge Church Road, Stephens City, Virginia 22655.
Family and friends will gather after the service for food and fellowship at the church
