Sarah Amundson, 89, Inkster, ND died Sunday, July 9, 1995, in Valley Eldercare, Grand Forks, ND where she had lived since December 23, 1994.
Sarah Mildred Bannerman was born March 6, 1906, in Lawton, ND, the daughter of David John and Martha (Horrocks) Bannerman. When she was 4 years old, she moved with her family to a farm near Inkster, ND where she grew up and attended school. After she married Henry Amundson Nov. 16, 1926, on the Bannerman farm, they lived and farmed near Inkster. They moved to the Good Samaritan Center Nursing Home in Larimore, ND, October 17, 1994. Henry Amundson died November 15, 1994.
She is survived by her daughters: Mary (Mrs. Ronald) Whaley, Fordville, ND; and Margaret (Mrs. Robert) Woods, Forest River, ND; son, Thomas Amundson, Inkster, ND; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Gladys Dau, Mandan, ND; daughter-in-law, Shirley Amundson, Grand Forks, ND; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, George; brothers: William, Clayton and Harold; and sister, Jeanette.
Services: Wednesday, July 12, 1995, in Faith Lutheran Church, Inkster, ND.
Burial at the Inkster Cemetery.
