ONEIDA DAILY DISPATCH, October 21, 1954:
Mrs. Emma L. Love, 83, North Main Street, Munnsville died yesterday at her home. She was born November 27, 1870, in Valley Mills, the daughter of Adelia (Belfield) and Arvine Strong. Mrs. Love married Charles E. Love, August 31, 1889 in Stockbridge and moved to Munnsville in 1905. Mr. Love died in 1931. With her husband she operated the C. E. Love and Son Funeral Services, and with her sons. She is survived by three daughters: Miss Marjorie F. Love, Philadelphia; Mrs. Virgnia Platten, Munnsville; Mrs. Charlotte Ido of Florida. Also surviving are three sons: Frank S. Love; C. Arthur Love; and A. E. Love, all of Munnsville; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Love was a member of the Stockbridge Methodist Church and past district deputy of Rebekah Lodge I.O.O.F. Funeral services will be held Saturday from the late home at 2 pm by the Rev. E. F. Mellott, assisted by the Rev. Ernest Devine. Burial will be in the Stockbridge Cemetery.
