The older residents of Euroa heard with regret of the death, which took place on Tuesday last, of Mrs Bridget Bell, wife of Mr Horace Bell, of Euroa. Deceased, who was 76 years of age, had suffered a long illness and her death was not unexpected. The late Mrs Bell, who was formerly Miss Ing, had practically the whole of her life here, and was well-known to the older generation of residents, by whom she was held in very high regard for her neighborliness and many sterling qualities. She is survived by a sorrowing husband and family of two sons -William and Bert, and two daughters - Mildred and Eileen. One son, Arthur, gave his life on active service and another son and daughter predeceased her. Her aged husband and family have the sympathy of many friends in their bereavement. The funeral took place on Wednesday, the graveside service being conducted by Mr H. A. Robertson, Church of England, Longwood, in the absence of Rev. Canon Scott. The pall-bearers were Messrs W. Bell, W. Bell jr., J. Saxon, T. Bradford, G. Aldridge, and J. Douglas. The coffin was borne by Messrs B. Bell, L. Wyatt, A. Bell, and F. Hill; and Messrs G. Bell, A. Bell, Shannon and Hewish acted as flower-bearers. The funeral arrangements were carried out by G. Diggle.
