She was born February 19, 1922 in Memphis, TN. Kathryn and her husband, Richard N. Awsumb Sr. (deceased) moved to Longwood, Fl. in 1987 to be closer to their family.
She was a loving wife, mother and friend. A member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis and First Baptist Church of Winter Park. She participated in various church and social groups throughout her life.
She was an exceptional cook and a gracious southern lady. She and her husband spent 55 wonderful years together on earth and now for eternity in heaven. She will be missed and remembered forever by her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Becky Sanders, Longwood; son, John K. Awsumb, Winter Park and Richard N. Awsumb, Jr., Winter Springs; five grandchildren, John and Kathryn Sanders, Longwood, Kristin Coleman, Jacksonville, Wendy Brown, West Palm Beach and Scott Awsumb, Orlando and one great-grandchild, Noah Brown.
